But what if I really want to use my health insurance?

We’re open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8am-4pm, Thursday 8am-noon.

Please check our website for any holiday or inclement weather closings.

My parent is not able to get out and about like they used to. Do you offer house calls?

Yes, Dr. Bryan Snyder makes house calls and visits assisted living facilities monthly.

Call our office at 434-979-0728 to make arrangements with our patient care manager as online scheduling is not available for these type of visits.

Who are your doctors?

Dr. Bryan R. Snyder and Dr. Heather S. Snyder are board certified podiatrists and Fellows of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Where are you located?

Our office is at 1410 Incarnation Drive, Suite 202, Charlottesville.

We are on the 2nd floor so it is best to enter from the upper parking lot through the NORTH entrance. This entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Do you take health insurance?

No. Albemarle Family Foot & Ankle PLLC is a direct pay practice.

Why don't you take health insurance?

After 25 years of playing the insurance companies games, dealing with mountains of paperwork, payment denials, deductibles and frequently confused patients, we decided that health care should be :

a) controlled by the patients themselves. Not by the insurance companies.

and

b) directed by the doctors. Not by the insurance companies.

Wow. You really don't take health insurance?

After your visit and payment, our office can supply you with an itemized receipt that you can submit yourself to your insurance company to see if it is eligible for re-imbursement. (or it may be applied to your yearly deductible. Which may not be a bad thing.)

Please note that this process is NOT possible with Medicare, Medicare Advantage or Medicaid products.

What are your hours?

That is correct. We do not.

We'd much rather spend our time giving you the very best value-based care possible.

My child is a dancer and is having a problem. Can we call you?

Absolutely! Dr. Heather Snyder is Board Certified in Dance Medicine and works closely with the Charlottesville Ballet to keep their company and students "on their toes."
